About the Role

GTS International is seeking a skilled Senior Technician - Electrical Systems to contribute to our team's success and grow professionally.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems, creating Bills of Materials, and assembling and testing harnesses.

This role requires someone with strong technical knowledge and ability to adapt to new challenges, ensuring seamless integration with our team.

Main Responsibilities
  • System Design: Design and implement electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
  • BOM Creation: Create Bills of Materials, taking into account component costs and lead times.
  • Harness Assembly: Assemble and test harnesses, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Workload Management: Collaborate with the departmental manager to manage workload and meet project deadlines.
  • Issue Resolution: Utilize the established engineering concerns process to capture and track issues, ensuring effective solutions are implemented promptly.
  • Safety and Compliance: Comply with health and safety policies, ensuring safe working practices at all times.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge and understanding of electrical systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to address challenging technical issues.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with the team and management.
  • Initiative and Planning: Capability to plan and manage work independently, using initiative to meet set objectives.
  • Judgment and Discretion: Discretion and judgment in applying technical methods and techniques.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Specialized Knowledge: Specialized technical knowledge acquired through advanced training, such as BTEC National Certificate, ONC level, A-Levels, or Scottish Highers in a relevant discipline.
  • Certification: City & Guilds Level 3 (NVQ-3) or equivalent.
  • Industry Experience: Proven experience as an Engineering or Build Technician, ideally within an OEM, Tier 1 supplier, engineering consultancy, or motorsport environment.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £40,500 per annum, plus benefits.
