Software Engineer - High Reliability Communication Systems

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Software/Firmware Engineer to join BlueGate Consulting and contribute to the development of high reliability, intrinsically safe communication systems for life and safety critical systems.

As a Software/Firmware Engineer, you will be responsible for software development, software design, embedded software development, debugging, and firmware development.

We offer a flexible working arrangement, with the option to work from home and come into the office on a when-needed basis.

Key skills and experience required:

  • Strong skills in C++, Windows, and embedded software design and development
  • Experience in firmware development for industrial applications
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++ and Assembly
  • Microprocessor programming experience
  • Assembler programming on PIC32 and ARM machines

Bonus points for:

  • C# knowledge
  • Experience in the electronics, telecoms, or industrial automation industry

This is a great opportunity for a Software Engineer who is experienced in both C++, Windows, and embedded software to use both skill sets and join a small team who are genuinely developing software and systems that save lives.
