**Disputes Resolution Solicitor Role at Themis Recruit**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Disputes Resolution Solicitor to join our dynamic team at Themis Recruit. As a key member of our Dispute Resolution team, you will be responsible for handling a broad range of disputes, working closely with clients to resolve their legal issues efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management:
- Manage a varied caseload of dispute resolution matters, including commercial disputes, contract disputes, property disputes, and debt recovery.
- Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare case strategies.
- Liaise with clients, providing clear, practical, and commercially sound legal advice.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitration, and mediation sessions.
- Prepare pleadings, witness statements, and other court documents.
- Advise clients on the merits and risks of litigation versus alternative dispute resolution methods.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectives.
- Ensure clients are kept informed about the progress of their cases and provide regular updates.
- Work to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients while managing their expectations effectively.
- Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing parties.
- Draft and review settlement agreements.
- Strive to resolve disputes amicably and cost-effectively wherever possible.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all casework.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with dispute resolution matters.
- Support the team in business development activities, including attending networking events and contributing to marketing initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell the firm's services to existing and potential clients.
- Assist in the preparation of articles and updates for the firm's website and newsletters.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to provide a seamless service to clients.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department's processes and practices.
- Provide support and guidance to junior team members and administrative staff as required.
Requirements:
- Education: Qualified Solicitor with a current practicing certificate.
- Experience: 13 years PQE in dispute resolution or litigation.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and prioritize effectively.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Client-focused approach with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
