Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager to join our team at Si Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining procedures that uphold our commitment to safety and environmental excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Systems: Create and uphold occupational health, safety, and environmental systems and procedures that meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide Expert Guidance: Provide expert advice and guidance on HSE matters to Line Management, ensuring that they are equipped to make informed decisions.
  • Accident Investigation and Prevention: Assist in accident investigations and ensure the implementation of preventative measures to minimize the risk of future incidents.
  • Incident Management: Manage incident, near-miss, and safety observation systems to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Present OH&S statistics and reports to senior management on a regular basis, highlighting areas of concern and suggesting improvements.
  • Implementation of Action Plans: Implement action plans and improvement projects to address identified areas of concern.
  • Training and Development: Provide comprehensive OH&S training to all employees, ensuring that they are equipped to perform their roles safely and effectively.
  • Inductions and Guidance: Conduct Health and Safety inductions for new employees and provide guidance on safe systems of work.
  • Risk Assessment and Method Statements: Support the creation of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) to ensure that all work activities are properly planned and executed.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: NEBOSH Diploma in Safety or Environment, Environmental certificate or qualification.
  • Experience: Experience in a safety-focused role within heavy industry or manufacturing, experience in a management role.
