Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer with Electrical Bias

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to join our team at KP Snacks' Ashby site. As a key member of our Engineering function, you will provide a comprehensive electrical, mechanical, and maintenance engineering service to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintain production and ancillary equipment, property, and facilities to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with production plans.
  • Create and maintain accurate maintenance records, including PPM schedules and data entry records.
  • Act as host for contractors working on site, ensuring safe working practices and completing necessary documentation.
  • Respond to requests from production and maintenance leads for engineering assistance and monitor visual management boards to prioritize tasks.
  • Collaborate with production teams to improve their knowledge and capability of equipment.
  • Identify and analyze problems, implementing root cause solutions to prevent repeat failures.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures, including food quality management systems and retailer-specific technical standards.
  • Contribute to food safety and health and safety initiatives, identifying hazards and risks, and ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • City & Guilds Level 3 or higher in electrical engineering, ideally with multi-skilled qualifications.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Enthusiasm, commitment, and a drive to succeed.
