Role Overview:
The Education Network is a renowned provider of education services, dedicated to empowering young people to reach their full potential. We are currently seeking a Learning Support Specialist to join our team in Barnsley. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the educational journey of looked after children (LAC) by providing individualized guidance, fostering a positive learning environment, and developing tailored learning plans.

Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver high-quality educational programs tailored to the specific needs of LAC, encompassing core subjects and additional support as required.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with students, social workers, carers, and educational professionals to ensure seamless collaboration and aligned efforts towards student success.
• Implement innovative strategies to assess students' learning needs and monitor progress, adapting teaching approaches accordingly.
• Develop students' social and emotional skills, encouraging resilience, confidence, and self-awareness through experiential learning opportunities.
• Assist students in preparing for exams and developing essential study habits and time management techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, providing regular feedback and updates to relevant parties.
• Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team environment, fostering a culture of mutual respect and support.

Essential Requirements:
• A recognized teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent experience with a minimum of a Master's degree in Education or a related field.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality educational programs and making a tangible impact on students' lives, particularly those facing adversity.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively, managing multiple responsibilities and deadlines simultaneously.
• Valid Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo it).

Compensation:
This role offers a competitive hourly rate of £25-35 (PAYE).
