About the RoleThis role involves supporting the development and management of centralised policies, processes, and procedures for software asset management. You'll ensure accurate compliance with vendor requirements, respond to audits, complete effective license positions, and handle user queries.
Main Responsibilities- Prepare and optimise licence positions for major vendors.
- Develop and maintain SAM tooling and databases.
- Ensure accurate reporting of vendor compliance.
- Work with the SAM team to identify software products within the Vitality estate.
- Process Proof of Entitlement for manual matching.
- Review and import new purchase information from third-party systems.
- Qualify and verify data sources required for SAM processing.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience delivering effective licence positions/reconciliations in a SAM capacity.
- Good knowledge of complex licensing for major vendors like Microsoft or Oracle.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and associated licensing models.
- Experience analysing and preparing effective license positions.
- Liaising with technical architects, data analysts, and suppliers at a technical level.
- In-depth experience with SAM tools like Snow, Flexera, License Optimizer, or Xensam.
- Working knowledge of software management/discovery tools like SCCM, UD, or BMC Discovery (optional).
