Electrical/Mechanical Engineer Opportunity at Kilwaughter Minerals

Kilwaughter Minerals, a well-established business, is seeking highly competent Electrical or Mechanical Engineers to join our team. We have two critical roles available, one for a Mechanical Engineer and one for an Electrical Engineer. These positions are ideal for individuals with deep expertise gained within an automated production facility, preferably with experience in training and mentoring duties.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure health, safety, and wellbeing are prioritized to deliver a safety-first culture
  2. Coordinate preventative maintenance activities, accurately recording planned and breakdown activities
  3. Create detailed preventative maintenance instructions and critical spares lists
  4. Diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical faults on plant equipment/machinery
  5. Develop and implement solutions to complex problems
  6. Evaluate root causes and solutions for continuous learning and improvement
  7. Work with high technical expertise in complex control systems, data communications, and PLC systems
  8. Update and maintain electrical drawings and documentation
  9. Oversee the sourcing, installation, and commissioning of new plant and equipment
  10. Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to address breakdowns and prioritize repairs
  11. Provide support and training to maintenance technicians
  12. Adhere to health, safety, environmental procedures
Requirements
  1. Third-level engineering qualification
  2. 5 years' experience in electrical/mechanical discipline
  3. Strong level of all-round electrical/mechanical engineering knowledge
  4. Root cause analysis and fault-finding experience on automated machinery and mechanical/electrical systems
  5. Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from various sources
