Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Engineer to join our team at JLL. As a critical member of our engineering shift team, you will be responsible for the effective inspection, operation, and maintenance of critical facilities and data centre infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Critical Facilities

As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the critical facility and data centre. This will include performing routine inspections, conducting maintenance tasks, and ensuring that all systems are functioning within established parameters.

Lead the Shift Team

You will be expected to lead the shift team and provide guidance and support to junior engineers. This will include mentoring and training new team members, as well as providing technical expertise and guidance on complex issues.

Ensure Compliance and Risk Management

You will be responsible for ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with JLL's MEP processes and procedures. This will include conducting site-specific technical assessments and skills gap analysis, as well as ensuring that all risk management documentation is up to date and compliant.

Collaborate with Stakeholders

You will work closely with stakeholders, including account managers and specialist vendors, to ensure that all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 Years' Experience

You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in critical environments, such as banking HQ and data centres.

Relevant Qualifications and Certifications

You will hold relevant qualifications and certifications, including LV Authorised Person, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship, and C&G 2391 test and inspection.

Excellent Communication and IT Skills

You will have excellent communication and IT skills, including good report writing skills and the ability to use a range of software applications.
