Job Summary:

Teaching Personnel is excited to offer a guaranteed work contract for an exceptional Special Education Assistant in North Yorkshire. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with children and young people with special educational needs, providing support and guidance to help them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting teachers in the classroom, helping students with SEN to access the curriculum
  • Providing one-to-one support for students with complex needs, promoting independence and confidence
  • Contributing to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring that each student's needs are met
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable but not essential
  • A compassionate and patient nature, with a genuine commitment to supporting the learning and well-being of SEN students
  • A proactive approach to learning and professional development, with a willingness to participate in training provided by the school

Salary and Benefits:

We offer an estimated salary of £22,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities, as well as the chance to work with a dynamic and supportive team.
