Propulsion Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Propulsion System Engineer to join our team in the UK. As a member of our Spacecraft Propulsion and Thermal group, you will contribute to the definition and improvement of Propulsion System designs for spacecraft.
Key Responsibilities- Define Propulsion Subsystem requirements
- Support in analyses for the propulsion subsystem
- Support for satellite propulsion AIV activities
- Define propulsion tests plan, specifications, setup, and procedures
- Experience in propulsion test planning and execution
- Experience with fluidic/pressurized test equipment, methods, and guidelines
- Experience with safety-related issues of propulsive/pressurized development and testing, also involving hazardous materials such as flammable gases and oxidizers
- Analytical and modelling skills
- Knowledge of propulsion subsystems for in-space applications
- Familiarity with procedure definition and management
- The capability of autonomous working
- Previous knowledge in acquisition systems and data processing
- Knowledge of thermodynamics
- Resilience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight schedules
- Knowledge of programming languages (Python, C, Matlab, others)
- Knowledge of CAD modelling software
- Familiarity with ECSS Standards
- Familiarity with EcosimPro-PROOSIS
- Familiarity with safety measures for propulsion subsystems
Advanced University Degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in Aerospace/Space Engineering or similar. Work experience of 3 years in space/aeronautical industries.
Language- Full professional proficiency in the English language is mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of Italian is a plus.
