Job Role: Children's Support Worker

As a Children's Support Worker with Nurseplus, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young adults in care. Your primary responsibility will be to provide individualized support, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and safeguard the wellbeing of children and young people
  • Assist with daily routines, including community and educational settings
  • Organize and facilitate social activities to promote socialization and engagement
  • Transportation and mobility support
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement safe practice and ensure compliance with Ofsted and CQC regulations
  • Offer high levels of supervision and support to promote independence and confidence
  • Manage complex behaviors and crisis intervention
  • Contribute to care plans and risk assessments, reviews, and implementation
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children and/or young adults in a care setting
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Child and Young People's Workforce (CYP) is desirable
  • Age 21 or above to meet industry regulations
  • Knowledge in one of the following areas: EBD, SEMH, CSE, or SEN/SEND
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (refundable after a set period of work)
  • Full UK Driving License (desirable)
