Design Manager

Severn Trent Water is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Capital Programme Design Manager to lead the successful delivery of the Capital Programme. This is a key role that requires strong leadership and project management skills, as well as a deep understanding of water treatment processes and design principles.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of 6-8 Design Engineers to develop engineering and process solutions for waste water treatment projects.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful design and validation of solutions.
- Provide resource and budget accountability for the design team.
- Ensure that design proposals deliver value for customers and lowest whole life costs.
- Manage risks that could impact the successful delivery of the Capital Programme.
- Experience of leading a successful design team and coaching skills.
- Strong planning and implementation skills.
- Experience of managing external suppliers to deliver output to prescribed standards and quality measures.
- Strong project management experience with regard to leading design projects to ensure designs are delivered to time, cost and quality.
- Water sector experience or similar.

- Qualified in an Engineering, Construction and Project Management or Environmental discipline, degree preferable.
- Full UK driving license.
