About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Asset Manager to join our team at the Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner West Mercia. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a comprehensive transformation and rationalisation of the West Mercia Police estate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and implement an effective asset management strategy across the estate.
  • Introduce and establish robust policies and practices to ensure effective lease tenure and optimal asset management.
  • Collate evidence and analysis of market conditions and asset performance, providing recommendations for acquisition and disposal of Estate assets.
  • Undertake risk analyses, identifying investment opportunities, and prepare and present asset management reports to Governing Boards.
  • Lead a programme of Estates rationalisation to build capital receipts, support the capital borrowing strategy, and optimise the value of Estates assets.
  • Engage with and support internal Estates Projects and Facilities Management Teams to ensure Estate properties are qualitatively and functionally fit for purpose.
  • Lead and ensure the delivery of strategic organisational programmes of asset rationalisation across the WMP and HWFRS portfolio.
  • Support the Head of Projects in delivering cyclical capital and revenue improvements programmes to the estate and assets.
  • Ensure the professional development and welfare needs of the Estates Planning and Surveying Team members are met.

What's on Offer

The salary range for this role is £66,000 - £73,000, and you will also be enrolled in a local government pension scheme.
