Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Cooper Lomaz. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and engineering service support to ensure the smooth operation of our site.

Your primary focus will be on driving improved performance and cost while delivering high-quality services. You will work closely with our Engineering Manager to achieve these goals.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical competence in electrical systems and experience in high-volume continuous production environments. They will also possess excellent diagnostic skills and be able to prioritize multiple tasks using initiative.

A competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum is offered for this position, depending on experience.

  • Undertake tasks that require data analysis and strong diagnostics to identify and act upon underlying root cause issues
  • Strong technical competence in specific field
  • Carry out planned or preventative maintenance using mechanical and electrical skill sets
  • Develop proactive fault prevention and continuous improvement activities
  • Review production targets and priorities, balancing lines to meet them with minimal downtime
  • Coach equipment best practices to front-line employees
  • Support/lead project initiatives in plant
  • Have a coaching style and can influence peers
  • Prioritize multiple tasks using initiative
  • Strong communication skills
  • Focused on results to ensure repairs are carried out in a timely and professional manner
  • Strive to achieve KPI targets for maintenance, line performance, and waste reduction
  • Be a strong team player who adopts a continuous improvement approach
  • Promote safe working practices
