Power Electronics Test Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Power Electronics Test Engineer to join our team at Ultra Maritime. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading hands-on testing of power electronics and electrical systems in a lab environment.
Your primary focus will be on ensuring that power electronics systems perform according to specifications and safety standards. You will develop and execute test plans, including functional and performance testing for power converters, motor drives, and other related systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lab-Based Testing & Validation: Conduct thorough testing of power electronics and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and specifications.
- Electrical Testing & Fault Finding: Identify and troubleshoot electrical system faults, ensuring optimal system performance and safety.
- System Integration & Support: Collaborate with engineers to validate designs through testing and provide input on potential product improvements.
- Lab Maintenance & Safety: Manage the test lab environment, ensuring all equipment is maintained, calibrated, and ready for testing activities.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed test reports, documenting testing procedures, outcomes, and any identified issues or inconsistencies.
Requirements:
- Education: HND, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in power electronics testing, fault finding, and lab-based testing of power converters, motor drives, or other complex electronic systems.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of power electronics, electrical systems, and converter topologies, with expertise in electrical testing and diagnostics.
