About the Role

Burberry Limited is seeking a highly skilled Pricing Strategist to join our team. As a Pricing Strategist, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and maximizing pricing potential globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Price Optimization: Identify pricing opportunities through analysis of pricing architecture, performance trends, and competitor pricing intelligence.
  • Global Pricing Consistency: Monitor changing global macro-economic factors and make appropriate price adjustment recommendations to maintain global pricing consistency and protect group margins.
  • Seasonal Pricing: Set up seasonal pricing to ensure that global retail and wholesale prices are appropriately derived each season.
  • Markdown Management: Manage markdown price calculation and execution.
  • Collaboration: Act as liaison between business and BI pricing team, and support Pricing Assistant in day-to-day activities.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Country Pricing Review: Support the seasonal review of country pricing factors, making appropriate price adjustment recommendations as needed.
  • Pricing Guidance: Assist the Pricing Manager in working with the product finance team to provide seasonal pricing guidance and global pricing architecture relationships to be incorporated into seasonal and financial plans.
  • Competitor Pricing Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitor pricing in order to identify pricing opportunity for the business.
  • Price Bands Management: Oversee the seasonal price bands (core currency pricing relationships) process with merchants and implementation in Flex PLM.
  • Price Files Creation: Oversee the creation of seasonal retail and wholesale factor files for SAP.
  • Markdown Execution: Support the build and maintenance of seasonal pricing files (e.g., price indices, price increases, etc.), and supervise creation of markdown prices and associated price calculation templates.
  • Quarterly Price Changes: Manage quarterly price change requests and approvals, working with the product teams and BI Pricing data team to facilitate a smooth implementation.
  • Price Information: Partner with Marketing and BI pricing to deliver accurate price information on product gifting catalogues.
  • Ad-Hoc Pricing Queries: Liaise with BI pricing team on ad-hoc pricing queries, seasonal realignments, emergency price adjustments, and any other price execution requests.
Requirements
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and highly numerate individual with good verbal & written communication, facilitation, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Commercial Awareness: Strong commercial awareness of a retail business.
  • Micro and Macro-Economic Factors: Good understanding of micro and macro-economic factors that impact on global pricing.
  • Product Margin: Good understanding of the factors affecting product margin.
  • Time Management: Must meet deadlines by mitigating risks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritizing as appropriate.
  • Flexibility: Highly motivated, flexible, and conscientious with the ability to work in a constantly changing environment.
