About the Role
Pearson Whiffin Education is seeking an experienced and passionate Science Teacher to join our team at a secondary school in Maidstone, Kent.
This long-term, full-time position commences in January 2025 and requires the successful candidate to have strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Science curriculum.
The ideal candidate will be able to deliver engaging and interactive lessons to mixed ability students, utilizing excellent classroom management skills and a genuine passion for their subject area.
Key Responsibilities
- To teach Science to students across various age groups, adapting lesson plans to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
- To develop and implement innovative teaching methods, ensuring that students are engaged and motivated throughout the learning process.
- To maintain accurate records of student progress, providing regular feedback and assessments to parents and guardians.
- To collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and ideas, contributing to the overall success of the school community.
Requirements
- A degree in a relevant field (such as Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) or equivalent qualifications.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Science curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with curriculum changes and educational advancements.
