We are recruiting for a Senior Media Planning Lead who is an exceptional and driven media planner, to join our Connections Planning team at Mindshare Spain SA.

You will be working on the Ford account in the UK – the biggest auto advertiser and one of the biggest accounts. We work in a unique 'full service' model meaning that the media teams collaborate closely with creative and account management teams within the Ford agency structure (primarily working with VMLYR).

Therefore we foster a fully integrated team approach across media, creative and client, working together across multiple locations. You will spend 2 days (Mon-Tue) at Ford's Dunton office, 1 day (Wed) at VML Sea Containers House, and 1 day (Thu) at Mindshare Rose Court.

About the role

In terms of your day-to-day, you will be responsible for planning exciting, award-winning campaigns as well as working with channel specialists to make those plans a reality. This involves everything from defining the approach to audience, designing the connections plan across all relevant touchpoints, content creation, and measurement.

This includes:

  • Focusing on delivering sales-driven results for the Ford account.
  • Validating the media approach by targeting audiences in addressable and non-addressable media.
  • Designing an approach that outlines how and where we will connect with defined audiences, especially hard-to-reach / low media engagement audiences.
  • Connecting data from various sources to plan effectively.
  • Collaborating with channel specialists and wider agency teams to design the connections ecosystem & plan.
  • Day-to-day campaign management and annual planning as a key liaison between clients and channel specialists.
  • Developing measurement & testing frameworks to inform and measure campaigns when live.
  • Managing others to develop their skills.

About you

  • You should have a breadth of understanding of media channels (especially online) and be able to discuss their role within a comms strategy.
  • A strong interest in both brand and performance campaigns with some knowledge of ecommerce.
  • Excellent knowledge of audience research and planning tools (e.g. TGI & Touchpoints) and awareness of alternative sources (such as media owner tools & data).
  • The ability to draw clear insights and implications for media.
  • Demonstrate a passion for media and understanding of what makes a great media campaign.
  • Taking responsibility for upfront work to deliver a clear and concise universal brief to specialist teams.
  • Caring about proving campaigns work by creating holistic measurement frameworks.
  • Confident presenting with passion and conviction, managing senior client relationships, running agency team sessions, and collaborating on client projects.
  • Able to work collaboratively, leading by example through presence and contribution.
  • Excellence in attention to detail, accuracy in output, meeting deadlines, and organizational skills.
  • A proactive desire to continually improve own knowledge and wider skill set.
  • An open-minded, flexible, and challenger mindset.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package including health insurance, pension scheme, and paid vacation time.
