Structural Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at We Manage Jobs (WMJobs). As a key member of our Projects and Works team, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of capital projects under the City Assets Directorate within the City of Wolverhampton Council.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, appraisal, detailing, inspection, and preparation of schemes and reports in relation to structures, including site and geotechnical investigations and works to current standards and regulations.
  • Lead or contribute to project teams of all appropriate professionals in the delivery of individual projects or groups of projects, working closely with Project Managers/Officers, Clients, and Building Contractors.
  • Appraisal of structural elements of Building Regulations submissions for compliance with relevant codes and/or standards.
  • Supervision of Contractors and construction Health & Safety on council construction sites.
  • Liaising with clients to ensure client satisfaction with the delivery of structural engineering services, promoting Sustainable Development principles.
