About the Role

Vodafone is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect to lead our public cloud transformation efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining public cloud blueprints to deliver standardized reusable patterns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain cloud architecture blueprints, patterns, and templates.
  • Promote and champion the use of reusable code/modules and API capabilities to drive automation.
  • Provide technical design, guidance, and consultancy to support the transformation of existing on-prem services to public cloud.
  • Drive adoption and implement best practice for cloud connectivity and security standards.
  • Ensure HA/DR/Resiliency best practices are applied to all architectural solutions and designs.

About You

We are looking for a proven expert in cloud transformation with a strong background in AWS and GCP platforms and tools. You should have experience in deploying infrastructure using CI/CD pipelines and IaC using DevOps tools such as HashiCorp Stack (Terraform, Packer), Jenkins, and Docker. Additionally, you should have knowledge of serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda and Google Cloud Function.

Requirements

  • Proven experience assessing customer workloads and technology landscape for cloud transformation.
  • Proven knowledge of AWS and GCP platform and tools.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps concepts and security compliance requirements.
  • Experience in deploying infrastructure using CI/CD pipelines and IaC using DevOps tools.
  • Knowledge of serverless technologies.
  • Experience in designing scalable cloud solutions leveraging latest capabilities.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions.
  • Experience working in global organizations focused on delivering large programs.

Technical Knowledge/Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Certification on AWS and GCP architecture.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Jira/Confluence, Git, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Swarm, Microservice architecture, Python, and Ansible.
