Our client, a leading European Energy Trading company, is seeking an experienced Senior Trading Analyst to join their Proprietary Trading team in London. The focus will be on the Power markets, where you will work closely with Senior Power Traders to develop new strategies.

This is a Trading Analyst role, distinct from a Power or Fundamentals Analyst position. You will be responsible for working directly with Senior Power Traders to create innovative trading strategies, leveraging your analytical skills and expertise in Proprietary Power Trading Analysis.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Proprietary Power Trading Analysis within a reputable business, with a strong background in developing trading strategies alongside Traders. You will also possess strong quantitative, analytical, and modelling skills, with proficiency in Python. Additionally, experience in mentoring juniors within your team(s) would be a significant advantage.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Proprietary Power Trading Analysis within a well-established business
  • Ability to develop trading strategies in collaboration with Traders
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills, with expertise in Python
  • Experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members
