Reed Practice is working with a forward-thinking accountancy firm in Solihull who are seeking a Junior Payroll Administrator to join their team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and administering weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls.
  • Distributing online payslips and documents.
  • Administering PAYE, National Insurance deductions based on individual personal allowances.
  • Mandatory deductions of Student Loans, SSP, SMP, SAP, SPP, Court Orders, and other legislative requirements.
  • Completing HMRC statutory forms such as P45s, SSP1, and SMP1.
  • Administering pension schemes and pension auto-enrolment, incentive schemes, bonuses, and ex-gratia and termination payments.
  • Liaising with HM Revenue & Customs regarding PAYE responsibilities and ensuring compliance with current payroll legislation.
  • Submitting Annual reporting and tasks, including final Full Payment Summary (FPS), production of employees' P60 forms, and earlier year updates.
  • Employer Payment Summary (EPS) to reclaim statutory payments and Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) suffered, pay apprenticeship levy, and claim employer's allowance.
  • Pension deductions, employee pension correspondence, and maintenance of pension portal.
  • Ensuring RTI submissions are sent in accordance with HMRC regulations.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have previous experience within payroll.
