Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our team at Ada Meher, a leading e-commerce retailer based in the UK. As a key member of our web development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining new and existing systems in Laravel.

About the Role

  • Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and efficient backend systems using Laravel.
  • Collaborate with our development team to design and implement new features and projects.
  • Work closely with our QA team to ensure seamless integration and testing of new systems.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our codebase.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Laravel and PHP, and apply this knowledge to improve our systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of commercial experience with PHP and Laravel.
  • Strong understanding of MVC frameworks, including Laravel.
  • Experience with MySQL or similar databases.
  • Proficiency in building and consuming APIs.
  • Experience with code versioning software, such as Git or SVN.
  • Strong interest in e-commerce and online retail sector.
  • Experience with unit testing and testing frameworks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
