Financial Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join our dynamic team at Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions. As a key member of our Finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production and delivery of month-end management accounts, weekly reporting, annual budgets, and capital expenditure management.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and review various journals, accruals, and prepayments to ensure accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
- Conduct departmental P&L account variance analysis against budget to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist with monthly departmental P&L meetings to ensure effective communication and decision-making.
- Support the preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets to drive business growth and strategy.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and robustness of financial data.
- Provide weekly spend reporting to stakeholders to inform business decisions.
- Assist with capital expenditure management and asset register maintenance to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Support internal controls and year-end audit process to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Perform ad-hoc requests as required to support the Finance team.
To be successful in this role, you should be studying towards CIMA/ACCA or AAT qualified and ready to start CIMA/ACCA. Additionally, you should have:
- Previous finance role experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with month-end and multiple deadlines.
- Computerised accounting experience, preferably ERP.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights.
