Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Sustainability Analyst to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract at Pets at Home Group Plc. The role involves managing our in-house Building Energy Management System (BEMS) and bespoke Pet Automated Welfare System (PAWS), ensuring adherence to pet welfare guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimise the Building Energy Management System and Pets at Home's bespoke software (Pet Automated Welfare System - PAWS).
  • Sustain energy reduction targets and associated savings.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and escalation route for all BEMS queries from Facilities Helpdesk Teams.
  • Support the installation of BEMS upgrades at existing stores.
  • Research energy-saving projects and develop business cases for deployment.
  • Conduct store-level audits to identify energy, waste, and water-saving opportunities.
  • Track and analyse reports from energy management systems.
  • Raise and track project budgets via in-house software (SAP).
  • Support day-to-day management of Utility Bureau for Pets at Home and Pets at Home Vet Group.
  • Coordinate portfolio reports covering all utilities (electricity, gas, & water) by site.
  • Support contract negotiation for new suppliers.
  • Manage utility invoices and ensure all group sites are on correct contracts.
  • Support environmental compliance activities including ESOS, CCL, Packaging, Battery, WEEE Compliance.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong interest and awareness of environmental issues.
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the UK.
  • Sound knowledge of computer software systems.
  • Experience in customer service and complaint handling.
