Maintenance Planner

Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to join our team at the Fife site of a multinational oil and gas corporation. This is a 14-month contract opportunity for a full-time on-site role within an IR35 framework.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to support the remote planning team based in India. As the successful candidate, you will play a crucial role in providing detailed, on-the-ground information to facilitate effective planning and execution of tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments of site and equipment conditions
- Provide accurate scope corrections and conduct field scoping with process planners
- Identify process isolation locations and coordinate necessary arrangements such as scaffolding and insulation
- Prepare detailed piping isometrics, including dimensions, materials, and support structures
- Verify existing isometric drawings and highlight any discrepancies or site-specific challenges
- Ensure accurate documentation through photographs, sketches, and detailed reports
- Collaborate closely with the BTC Planner to share field data and maintain an efficient workflow
- Participate in site visits on behalf of the BTC Planner and resolve any technical queries that arise
- Attend regular Zoom meetings and respond promptly to planning queries or backlog issues
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in petrochemicals, oil, or heavy industry, with a focus on piping
- Strong understanding of technical discussions, cross-sectional equipment drawings, and piping isometrics
- Proficient in reading P&IDs and familiar with plant layouts, equipment locations, and functional roles
- Basic knowledge of the unit you will be working on (process training provided upon joining)
- Proficient in basic computer skills such as MS Office, MS Outlook, etc.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage relationships effectively
