About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to support students in a dynamic learning environment. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of classes during the short-term absence of teachers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Management: Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Lesson Delivery: Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and support students with their learning, providing guidance and feedback as needed.
  • Resource Preparation: Assist with the preparation of classroom resources, ensuring that materials are organized and readily available.
  • Student Progress: Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and behaviour, helping to identify areas for improvement.
  • School Policies: Support the school's policies and procedures to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Classroom Management: A strong understanding of classroom management and a positive approach to behaviour management.
  • Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
  • Teamwork: Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Safeguarding: A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • DBS: Possess an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to have one processed immediately.
