Job Title: Environmental Forester

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Forester to join our arboricultural team at North Lanarkshire Council. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality services to our community.

Responsibilities:

  1. To conduct tree inspections and assessments, identifying potential issues and developing plans to address them.
  2. To implement pruning and other maintenance activities to ensure the health and safety of trees and woodlands.
  3. To collaborate with internal teams to deliver projects and initiatives that benefit our community.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of an SVQ Level 2 professional arboricultural qualification is required, along with a driving licence including categories B+E.
  • Successful candidates must also achieve CS 38 & 39 Tree Climbing & Aerial Tree Rescue qualification within 3 months of appointment.
