About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Merchandiser to join our Merchandising department at Peacocks. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving the business forward by developing, planning, and delivering a commercially focused range alongside the Buyer.

As a Merchandiser at Peacocks, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and Organisation: Create a vision for the department that encompasses strategy, budget, and product for both the short and long term. Work closely with the Buyer to build a balanced range in line with customer expectations that reflects the Peacocks brand strategy.
  • Trading: Take responsibility for flexing trade between categories and managing mixes, optimising sales and stock levels, and intake phasing to an agreed divisional and departmental plan through effective use of WISSI's.
  • Commercial Awareness: Work closely with the Head of Merchandising to devise a department merchandising strategy that demonstrates a clear understanding of external factors and competitor activity.

Requirements:

  • At least 4+ years of experience in a similar Head Office environment and a proven track record in a merchandising role.
  • Advanced Excel user.
  • Experience in working with UK/overseas manufacturers/factories.
