Job Opportunity for a Garage Mechanic Specialist

 

We are currently seeking a qualified Garage Mechanic Specialist to join our team in Canvey Island. This role offers competitive pay, providing an opportunity to work with a diverse fleet of vehicles.

About the Role:

  • Maintain and repair complex vehicles from grounds maintenance equipment to heavy goods vehicles (HGVs)
  • Conduct thorough vehicle servicing and major overhauls to ensure optimal performance
  • Prepare vehicles for LGV and MOT tests, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Perform roadside repairs when necessary, showcasing expertise in on-site troubleshooting
  • Manage inventory and documentation efficiently, maintaining accurate records

Requirements:

  • Holding a valid Class 2/HGV Licence
  • Proven experience in HGV driving and mechanics
  • Excellent mechanical and diagnostic skills, with a strong focus on problem-solving
  • Prior experience with municipal vehicles is preferred, but not essential
