Oviva, a leading digital health provider in Europe, is seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our dynamic team. As a Weight Management Clinical Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals achieve their weight management goals.
Job OverviewWe are committed to providing accessible and effective care to people living with weight-related conditions. Our innovative approach combines behavioral change therapy with cutting-edge technology to tackle diet-related health conditions such as obesity and type 2 Diabetes.
As a member of our multidisciplinary team (MDT), you will work alongside psychologists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care. You will be responsible for providing psychological therapy to patients, leveraging technology to improve access and outcomes.
Your expertise will help us grow our current psychology team and support the development of our Tier 3 weight management service. This specialized service focuses on complex obesity cases, requiring a collaborative and patient-centered approach.
About the Role- Deliver one-to-one patient weight management care remotely via phone or video calls, utilizing our Oviva app and telephone coaching.
- Assess patients for psychological therapy as part of the weight management service, collaborating with the MDT to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide specialized advice and training to team members as required, supporting the growth and development of our psychology team.
- Initial screening involves assessing risk of Binge Eating Disorder, which may then be discussed with the MDT.
- Manage clinical risk effectively, working autonomously while having recourse to other professionals for guidance.
- A Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
- A minimum of 1 year experience in weight management and/or bariatric experience within a mental health setting.
- Experience related to offering physical activity support.
- Experience of working in an MDT, e.g., with dietitians.
- Experience of working in eating disorders, diabetes, and/or working with people who have long-term physical health conditions would be preferred.
- A competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
