Main Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the primary curriculum.
  2. Teach and support pupils in achieving high standards of academic progress.
  3. Assess and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  4. Contribute to the academy's community, promoting a culture of collaboration and mutual respect.
  5. Participate in ongoing professional development, staying updated on best practices in teaching and learning.

Requirements

  • QTS (or equivalent) and an undergraduate degree.
  • Successful experience in teaching the primary curriculum.
  • Good understanding of current educational theory and best practices, particularly in achieving high rates of progress for primary-age children.
  • Strong subject knowledge of core National Curriculum subjects.
  • Good understanding of child development and progression, impacting planning and instruction.
  • Effective strategies for managing behavior in the classroom, in line with the academy's policies.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
