A Logistics Business Development Manager is required for a prominent figure in the Transport & Distribution industry, based in Northamptonshire.

Our client is a significant player in the Transport & Distribution sector, employing over 100,000 individuals globally and renowned for their efficient logistics operations.

Description

  1. Support business development activities for the contract logistics business, ensuring a premium service offering.
  2. Coordinate with business development, solutions design, and marketing teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  3. Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, driving business growth and innovation.
  4. Implement strategies to improve logistics performance, leveraging technology and data insights.
  5. Research new or evolved service offerings, including value-added services, automation, and trends.
  6. Provide logistics market insights and trends, informing business development strategies.
  7. Monitor and report on potential customer contract renewals, expiry, or operation challenges.
  8. Assist in the preparation of business development plans, aligning with company goals.
  9. Work closely with Business Development to target new market development, driving revenue growth.

Profile

A successful Logistics Business Development Manager should have:

  1. A degree or similar qualification in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience of working in the logistics sector, with a strong understanding of the Transport & Distribution industry.
  3. Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinking, with the ability to drive business growth.
  4. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with a strong network of internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Proficiency in relevant software and technology, including Salesforce.
  6. Business development support, sales management, and a passion for innovation.
