About the Role
The North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join their catering team as a volunteer at Keswick Community Hospital. As a catering support volunteer, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and helpful environment for patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with stocking up counters with cold snacks, drinks, and cutlery
- Help maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the dining area, including wiping tables, straightening chairs, and removing debris
- Alert catering staff to any spillages or issues
- Assist customers with taking their meals to tables, particularly those with mobility issues

Eligibility
To be eligible for this role, you must be over 18 years old, have the right to work in the UK, and be able to commit to at least 60 hours of volunteering for a minimum of 7 months. You will also be required to undergo recruitment checks and training requirements.
Training and Support
As a catering support volunteer, you will be required to complete a level 1 food hygiene course, which will provide you with basic food safety knowledge. You will also receive support and guidance from the catering team to ensure that you are able to perform your duties effectively.
