Salary Information

The salary for this role is £28,000 per annum, based on experience, with potential to progress up to £32,000 per annum. In addition, you will receive a fuel contribution of 45p per business mile.

Job Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Band Leader in primary schools. As a key member of our team, you will:

  1. Deliver engaging music lessons in a rock and pop band setting in up to 10 primary schools per week.
  2. Empower and support children to deliver live performances at termly concerts.
  3. Offer children their first opportunity to play an instrument, developing their confidence, resilience, and well-being.
  4. Be the face of Rocksteady, building strong relationships with schools, teachers, and parents.

Requirements

  • Driving Licence and Own Transport: You must possess a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
  • Multi-Instrumentalism: As a skilled musician, you should be proficient on at least two instruments: drums, guitar, bass, keyboard, or vocals.
  • Passion for Teaching: We provide extensive training and support, but it's essential to be passionate about teaching and making a positive impact on young lives.
  • Safety and Well-being: You must be able to work in a way that promotes the safety and well-being of children and young people.
  • Excellent Communication: Excellent communication and social skills are required to build strong relationships with schools, teachers, and parents.
