HGV Workshop Controller Job Opportunity at Ford & Slater Limited.

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to join our team at our DAF Trucks dealership in Newark. As a Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of our HGV workshop, ensuring high-quality vehicle servicing and maintenance.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working as a Workshop Controller within the HGV or commercial vehicle sector, with a strong understanding of current legislative requirements. They will also have excellent IT system knowledge and be able to complete service and repair documentation to meet required DVSA standards.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive annual salary, 22 days holiday (plus stats), rising to 25 days after 5 years' service, and a range of benefits including employee assistance program, pension, and death in service life insurance scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure efficient operation of the HGV workshop, maintaining high-quality vehicle servicing and maintenance.
  • Supervise a team of technicians and mechanics, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Monitor and control workshop costs, ensuring compliance with budget guidelines.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
