The Role

About the Position
- As a Surgical First Assistant/Scrub Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting our surgical teams in delivering high-quality patient care.
- You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and technology.
- Our Theatre department is committed to providing exceptional patient care, and we are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during operations, providing support and maintaining a safe and efficient operating environment.
- Work effectively in a team environment, communicating with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of theatre protocols and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- NMC/HCPC registration with no restrictions or conditions.
- Surgical scrub experience within orthopaedics, including hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty, and anterior cruciate ligament repairs.
- Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Flexible and positive attitude, with a warm, considerate, and empathetic character.
