Tooling Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer - Toolmaking to join our team at Crane Process Flow Technologies. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering Team, you will be responsible for taking ownership of site toolmaking and refurbishment.
This is a highly rewarding role that involves working with tools, equipment, and machinery to create high-quality tools and fixtures. You will also be responsible for interpreting engineering drawings within required tolerances, servicing and repairing site tooling and fixtures, and managing external tooling repairs and logistics with sub-contractors.
Key Responsibilities- Design, manufacture, and maintain tools and fixtures using various machinery and hand tools
- Work from engineering drawings to create accurate and precise tools
- Servicing and repair of site tooling and fixtures
- Manage external tooling repairs and logistics
- Assist with manufacturing engineering projects
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Apprenticeship (or equivalent practical training)
- A minimum of HNC (or equivalent engineering qualification)
- A minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- The ability to work proactively and with initiative
- Training and proficiency in the use of all toolroom machinery and hand tools
- Experience in adhering to accurate tolerances with different materials
- Ability to produce engineering drawings and use precise measuring equipment
- Proficiency in MS Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Excellent communication skills
