Job Title: Electrician

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team in the Devon area. As an Electrician with Galliford Try, you will be responsible for the electrical installation and maintenance of water treatment, wastewater treatment, and environmental agency facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out electrical installations and maintenance to the required standard and within the required timeframe.
  • Complete site documentation as required.
  • Red-line on-site 'Issued for Construction' drawings, marking them 'As-Built'.
  • Innovate and provide suggestions and ideas to the Site Supervisor/Manager for improved delivery.
  • Check goods delivered to site are supplied as per order.
  • Identify changes to the works information and report to the Site Supervisor/Manager.
  • Emergency 'call out' fault finding and diagnostics.
Requirements:
  • Industrial electrical installation/maintenance background.
  • Industry-applicable ONC/NVQ/City & Guilds qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience of working within the water and/or wastewater and general industries.
  • Testing & Inspection qualification an advantage but not a necessity.
  • Knowledge and understanding of electrical drawings and schematics.
  • 13th Edition wiring regulations.
  • Experience on installation of SWA, Tray, Trunking, Plastic Conduit, etc.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation used in the water/general industry.
  • ECS, SSSTS, Confined Space Training, EUSR (Clean Water Hygiene). Any training shortfalls will be provided.
