Exciting Opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team in a commercial building near Barbican. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial building maintenance and be able to provide copies of their trade certificates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned and reactive Mechanical / Plumbing maintenance alongside the maintenance team
  • Fire alarm testing and sprinkler testing
  • AHUs/FCUs – filter changes, belt changes, actuator changes, coil cleans
  • Pumps – PPMs or strip downs (replacing seals, bearings, valves, overhauls)
  • Motors – PPMs (re-winds, overhauls)
  • Water treatment – dipslides, pH & temperature testing, chlorination, chemical dosing
  • Water pressurization units
  • Chlorifiers – annual inspection, descaling
  • Steam Plant
  • Condensers, Condenser Returns
  • Cooling towers
  • Softeners
  • Humidifiers
  • Hydraulics
  • Pneumatics
  • Boilers – re-sets
  • Chillers – re-sets, 1st Line faults

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds / NVQ
  • NVQ in Mechanical & Plumbing
  • Multi-skilled
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent customer skills

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, £24p/h
