About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Games Development Lecturer to join our team at The Sheffield College. As a key member of our lecturing team, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of games industry professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a range of game design topics, including 3D Art and Game Engines, at Level 2, Level 3 Diploma, and Extended Diploma.
  • Plan, develop, and assess project work, ensuring learners' skills are sequenced and in line with industry requirements.
  • Work with external partners to develop the provision and support student progression into the games industry or higher education.
  • Support learners to achieve higher grades and improve learner retention and achievement.
  • Engage in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to enhance teaching and learning skills.

Requirements

  • Games industry experience and awareness of the latest developments.
  • Relevant high-level academic or professional qualification.
  • Skills in the generation and use of computer-based design.
  • A teaching qualification or commitment to undertaking one within 12 months of starting, fully funded by the college.
