Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer to join our Radar Equipment Design Responsibility team. As a Complex Electronic Hardware Certification Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of radar programmes, ensuring quality, safety, and timeliness.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work on Complex Electronic Hardware development efforts for the E-Scan Radar programme. You will collaborate with the Radar Equipment Supplier and various engineering disciplines to ensure successful delivery of radar programmes. Your strong systems engineering background and experience with radar systems and Complex Electronic Hardware development in line with RTCA DO-254 standards will be invaluable.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review supplier Data Requirement Lists to ensure compliance with programme requirements.
  2. Support the resolution of Complex Electronic Hardware (CEH) related issues, working closely with the Radar Equipment Supplier and other engineering teams.
  3. Review CEH declarations and evidence in clearance documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  4. Generate CEH Summary Reports for formal Radar Software releases, providing critical information to stakeholders.
  5. Support Certification Authority-led CEH Stage of Involvement audits at European supplier sites, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  1. A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience, preferably with a focus on Software or Systems Engineering.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  3. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  4. Experience or knowledge of radar systems is highly desirable, although training will be provided for the right candidate.
