Senior Principal Electronics Engineer

Our client, a leading technology company based in Cambridgeshire, is seeking a Senior Principal Electronics Engineer to join their team due to a period of growth.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced electronics engineer to take on a leadership role and contribute to the development of innovative products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of electronics systems, from concept to production
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronics with RF, Audio, and MMI subsystems
  • Design and implement digital and analogue circuitry for radio products, including switching low power supplies and microprocessor designs
  • Resolve design and integration issues, and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers
  • Support the development of low power circuit designs for battery-powered products, and design for EMC/ESD protection
Requirements:
  • Strong background in electronics design, with experience in discrete component level design and microprocessor designs
  • Experience designing switching low power supplies, buck, boost, buck-boost, and flyback converters
  • Knowledge of digital interfaces and buses, including USB2, SPI, I2C, and GPIO
  • Ability to work in a small, focused team, and take a technical lead in design and development
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and support less experienced engineers
