We are seeking a professional Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) driver to join our team at JT Recruit Ltd.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year's experience as a Class 2 HGV driver and be prepared to work nights out, up to three times a week.

A key requirement is the ability to ensure load security through knowledge of chaining or strapping, and possession of a clean driving license and up-to-date CPC certification. Excellent customer service skills are also essential for success in this role.

This permanent position offers a competitive hourly rate of £13ph, reflecting the demands of the job and the need for experienced drivers. The location of Markfield provides an excellent base for deliveries across the UK.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Delivering palletised sheet steel throughout the UK, with a focus on safe and secure transportation;
  • Maintaining accurate records of vehicle checks and reporting any defects immediately;
  • Ensuring compliance with Drivers Hours and Working Time regulations;
  • Promoting a positive company image through exceptional customer service skills;
