The Role:

We are seeking a skilled Site Operations Manager to drive the highest performance possible within their respective sites. The ideal candidate will maximise customer satisfaction, optimise productivity, and achieve site personnel costs while maintaining strong stock accuracy, tightly controlling inventory, and minimising all wastage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan your work week effectively, splitting time between sites to ensure maximum impact and compliance with company expectations.
  • Lead teams to achieve company objectives and goals, working closely with Assistant Managers at respective sites (2-4).
  • Act as a People Manager for staff colleagues, supporting them throughout their organisational life cycle, including managing HR/ER cases.
  • Recruit and onboard HOP team members within remit.
  • Develop, train, and motivate employees to achieve ambitious targets.
  • Demonstrate operational excellence by meeting KPI targets across sites.
  • Minimise wastage by supervising regular stock counts and inventory management.
  • Supervise compliance with company SOPs.
  • Drive strong standards within sites, adhering to merchandising and space management principles.
  • Ensure Health & Safety and Due Diligence measures are met for operations.
  • Complete high-quality schedules for sites, adhering to labour targets.
  • Carry out regular Health & Safety checks, including internal audits.
  • Host and participate in relevant meetings.
  • Monitor customer feedback to improve customer experience.
  • Maintain good relations to uphold Deliveroo's positive reputation with external parties.
  • Liaise with counterparts to improve overall operational performance.
  • Participate and/or lead projects to improve operating model and achieve company objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of grocery experience.
  • A good understanding of P&L and KPIs performance management.
  • Project management capability.
  • Possess commercial acumen to identify opportunities to grow Order Volume & Gross Merchandise Value (GMV).
  • Great knowledge of food safety and health and safety compliance requirements.
  • Previous experience in leading a team, recruiting, training, and developing team members.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly organised individual with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable working with numbers and using data to inform decisions.
  • 'Can do, never give up' attitude and desire to grow and succeed.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Ability and willingness to travel between multiple locations regularly, including overnight stays.
  • Able to comply with company working expectations.

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
