About the Role

Nigel Wright Recruitment is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our client, a newly established joint venture focused on providing software development and technology consulting services to businesses in the Financial Services and Alternative Investment sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated infrastructure and environments
  • Manage and maintain Continuous Integration infrastructure
  • Develop monitoring and diagnostics tools
  • Deliver end-user automation solutions

Requirements

  • Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages
  • Experience with C#, Java, or Python, or the ability to code
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or Docker Swarm)
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like ELK, Grafana, or similar
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like TeamCity
  • Microsoft SQL Server expertise
  • Windows and Linux administration experience

  • Financial Services experience is a plus but not required

  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, JIRA)
  • Artifact storage knowledge (Artifactory)
  • Familiarity with Octopus Deploy
  • Experience with static analysis tools (e.g., SonarQube)
  • Control-M experience
  • Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • VMware (vSphere) and SAN experience
