Software Verification Specialist


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software development meets regulatory requirements

As a key member of our dynamic team at CBSbutler, you will work on a wide range of software projects, reviewing design enhancements and ensuring compliance with industry standards.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Perform critical reviews of software design information to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Identify and resolve any concerns raised during the review process
  • Collaborate with project teams to generate risk assessments and ensure suitable justification for action
  • Support the development of software validation plans and ensure their implementation
  • Work with the Independent Safety Authority and Chief Airworthiness Engineer to ensure software compliance



Requirements:



  • A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent engineering experience
  • Experience of safety-critical software development and associated design standards
  • Ability to collaborate, adapt, and think creatively
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills



Desirable Skills:



  • Familiarity with safety standards such as Mil Std 882, ARP4761A
  • Working knowledge of RTCA DO-178/EUROCAE ED-82 Design Assurance Guidance
