Senior Construction Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Construction Project Manager to join our team at Manchester Airport. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for delivering major airport infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale construction projects, with a strong focus on project delivery, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. You will be a natural leader, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex construction projects from conception to completion
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring project deliverables are met
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in an airport or transportation environment
  • Proven track record of delivering major projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
  • Degree in a relevant field, such as construction management, engineering, or architecture
