Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced High-Performance Computing Engineer to join our team at Global Hedge Fund. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and building high-performance, scalable, and secure Linux infrastructure for our trading, research, and analytics platforms.

This is a hands-on role that requires a deep understanding of Linux systems, automation, and cloud platforms. You will collaborate closely with our quantitative researchers, traders, and software engineers to build a robust platform that supports high-performance computing, low-latency trading, and data-intensive workflows.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Build High-Performance Infrastructure: Develop and implement high-performance, scalable, and secure Linux infrastructure for our trading, research, and analytics platforms.
  • Implement Automation Scripts and Tools: Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, monitoring, and management of the infrastructure.
  • Monitor and Optimize Performance: Implement and maintain monitoring systems to track infrastructure performance, ensure availability, and troubleshoot system issues proactively.
  • Ensure Security and Compliance: Implement best practices for patching, access control, encryption, and auditing to ensure the Linux environment is secure.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with software engineers, quants, and traders to understand platform requirements and provide technical support for high-performance applications.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering or a similar position (SRE, DevOps, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of Linux-based operating systems and cloud platforms
  • Experience with IaC tools such as Chef, Terraform, Puppet, or Ansible
  • Experience in Containerization (Kubernetes preferred)

Estimated Salary: $160,000 - $220,000 per year
